{"id":703,"date":"2025-06-21T00:07:09","date_gmt":"2025-06-21T00:07:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/703\/"},"modified":"2025-06-21T00:07:09","modified_gmt":"2025-06-21T00:07:09","slug":"video-shows-deer-jumping-through-new-hampshire-restaurants-window","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/703\/","title":{"rendered":"Video shows deer jumping through New Hampshire restaurant&#8217;s window"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A restaurant in New Hampshire got an unexpected and slightly chaotic hoofed client on Friday, June 20, who broke windows and flipped tables.<\/p>\n<p>A wild deer that had been seen scrambling through downtown Portsmouth, New Hampshire, jumped through the front window of the Friendly Toast less than half an hour before the brunch spot was slated to open.<\/p>\n<p>General manager of the Friendly Toast, Angelika Faron, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.seacoastonline.com\/story\/news\/local\/2025\/06\/20\/deer-friendly-toast-portsmouth-smashes-window\/84286254007\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">told the Portsmouth Herald<\/a>, part of the USA TODAY Network, that the restaurant would reopen on Saturday, June 21, to clean the chaotic mess the deer left behind.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We have plywood currently there,&#8221; Faron said. &#8220;We\u2019re going to stay closed for the day just to be able to deep clean the restaurant. With the nature of the accident, we don&#8217;t know if the deer was healthy or whatnot.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The deer <a href=\"https:\/\/www.seacoastonline.com\/story\/news\/local\/2025\/06\/20\/deer-friendly-toast-portsmouth-smashes-window\/84286254007\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">jumped into the restaurant<\/a> at around 7 a.m. local time, jumping headfirst into the building before being coaxed out the back door by employees inside the restaurant.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;This is a career first for me and for every other manager I have on staff,&#8221; Faron said. &#8220;None of us have ever encountered this, even the company as a whole. We\u2019re happy it didn&#8217;t happen while we had guests here.
