The president and CEO of the Tennessee Valley Authority, Don Moul, has notified the board of his intent to retire, Local 3 has learned.<\/p>\n

His retirement will be effective on Wednesday, July 1, a TVA spokesman tells us over email.<\/p>\n

President Donald Trump has signed a memorandum requesting that the Tennessee Valley Authorit\u2026<\/p>\n

The news comes just weeks after President Trump recommended a $500k pay cap for all TVA employees.<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n

Moul\u2019s base salary is $1.2 million, according to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), but there were performance-based incentives that made it even higher.<\/p>\n

Director Mitch Graves says the board appreciates his service to employees and the people of the Tennessee Valley:<\/p>\n

\u201cUnder his leadership, TVA has had strong operational and financial performance delivering reliable, affordable, American energy that helps communities across our seven states prosper.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Moul was appointed by the board of directors in April 2025 and had previously served as TVA\u2019s executive vice president and chief operating officer.<\/p>\n

During his tenure, TVA and ENTRA1 reached an agreement to collaborate and develop plans to provide TVA with up to 6 gigawatts of new nuclear power generation from small modular reactors.<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n
