{"id":705496,"date":"2026-04-05T01:48:12","date_gmt":"2026-04-05T01:48:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/705496\/"},"modified":"2026-04-05T01:48:12","modified_gmt":"2026-04-05T01:48:12","slug":"sigalert-issued-on-sr-78-after-head-on-crash-kills-two-nbc-7-san-diego","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/705496\/","title":{"rendered":"SigAlert issued on SR-78 after head-on crash kills two \u2013 NBC 7 San Diego"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sigalert.com\/map.asp?lat=33.10761&amp;lon=-116.52176&amp;z=0\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">SigAlert<\/a> was issued for SR\u201178 just before 3 p.m. Saturday after a head\u2011on traffic collision east of Julian that left two people dead and two others injured, according to CAL FIRE San Diego.<\/p>\n<p>The hard closure in both directions of the SR-78, between Scissor Crossing and Banner Ranch, is expected to last approximately 5 to 6 hours, according to the California Highway Patrol. <\/p>\n<p>The  crash involving two vehicles occurred near Mastros Trailer Park Road.<\/p>\n<p>CAL FIRE confirmed to NBC 7 that two people were pronounced dead at the scene.
