{"id":705511,"date":"2026-04-05T01:56:12","date_gmt":"2026-04-05T01:56:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/705511\/"},"modified":"2026-04-05T01:56:12","modified_gmt":"2026-04-05T01:56:12","slug":"many-thousands-without-power-in-texas-after-saturday-storms-newsradio-740-ktrh","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/705511\/","title":{"rendered":"Many Thousands Without Power in Texas After Saturday Storms | NewsRadio 740 KTRH"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Many thousands of Texas residents are reported without electricity Saturday night after slow-moving storms blew through Texas.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The largest amount appears to be in the Houston area, where CenterPoint Energy reports about 10,000 customers without power, keeping in mind that a home is considered one electricity customer, so for family or multi-family dwellings to be included in the total, the number without power could easily be in the tens of thousands.<\/p>\n<p>Entergy Texas reported several dozen customers without power through East Texas and east well into Louisiana, which was particularly hard hit by strong winds and rain.<\/p>\n<p>Up through Central Texas and the Dallas area, Oncor Energy reported more than 2,000 customers out of power at the height of the electricity line repairs Saturday night.<\/p>\n<p>In all, the number of those without power in Texas was estimated just after dark at about 12,400, <a href=\"https:\/\/usoutage.com\/texas\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">according to USoutage.com<\/a>. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Many thousands of Texas residents are reported without electricity Saturday night after slow-moving storms blew through Texas.
