{"id":706841,"date":"2026-04-05T16:08:14","date_gmt":"2026-04-05T16:08:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/706841\/"},"modified":"2026-04-05T16:08:14","modified_gmt":"2026-04-05T16:08:14","slug":"man-dead-following-crash-in-phoenix-involving-city-bus","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/706841\/","title":{"rendered":"Man dead following crash in Phoenix involving city bus"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>PHOENIX \u2014 A man is dead following a crash involving a city bus on Saturday night, authorities said.<\/p>\n<p>RELATED STORIES<\/p>\n<p>According to the Phoenix Police Department, officers responded to a crash around 10:22 p.m. near <a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/maps\/place\/3000+W+Van+Buren+St,+Phoenix,+AZ+85009\/@33.4509874,-112.1233114,17.25z\/data=!4m5!3m4!1s0x872b13ebd34a2f9f:0x64f9dcfbd3ffba3a!8m2!3d33.4512359!4d-112.1225274?entry=ttu&amp;g_ep=EgoyMDI2MDQwMS4wIKXMDSoASAFQAw%3D%3D\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Van Buren Street and 30th Avenue.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Upon arrival, officers found two vehicles involved in the crash, including a city bus.<\/p>\n<p>The driver of the vehicle, who police believe collided into the back of the bus, was found in critical condition. He was taken to a hospital, where he later died.<\/p>\n<p>Authorities said they believe the man was driving eastbound on Van Buren Street when he failed to slow down and collided with the back of the city bus.<\/p>\n<p>An investigation remains ongoing.
