“Oh, Mary!” is coming to Broadway. The new play had two off-Broadway runs and its opening night is tonight! The hilariously dark comedy sold out six preview shows last week. It stars the show’s creator, Cole Escola as ‘Mary Todd Lincoln’ in the final weeks of her husband President Lincoln’s life, but it’s anything but a historically set piece. Escola says they didn’t research their character at all.<\/p>\n

NEW YORK<\/strong> – After a summer off for major renovations, Shakespeare in the Park<\/a> is making a highly anticipated return to Central Park.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The Public Theater\u2019s beloved open-air series comes back to Central Park\u2019s Delacorte Theater from Aug. 7 through Sept. 14 with a star-studded production of William Shakespeare\u2019s “Twelfth Night.”<\/p>\n

What to know:<\/p>\n

Directed by Public Theater resident Saheem Ali, the cast includes Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Sandra Oh, Peter Dinklage, and real-life siblings Lupita Nyong\u2019o and Junior Nyong\u2019o as Viola and Sebastian; twins separated by a shipwreck in classic Shakespearean fashion.<\/p>\n

“For over 60 years, the Delacorte\u2019s stage has been home to one of New York\u2019s most treasured traditions,” said Manhattan Borough President Mark Levine. “These renovations bring the iconic Delacorte into the 21st century, ensuring all New Yorkers can enjoy Shakespeare in the Park for generations to come. I encourage everyone to come see \u2018Twelfth Night\u2019 and check out the incredible transformation of this historic space.”<\/p>\n
