{"id":70704,"date":"2025-07-17T19:39:10","date_gmt":"2025-07-17T19:39:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/70704\/"},"modified":"2025-07-17T19:39:10","modified_gmt":"2025-07-17T19:39:10","slug":"emma-navarro-jokes-why-she-is-getting-worried-about-jannik-sinner-ahead-of-playing-with-him-at-the-us-open","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/70704\/","title":{"rendered":"Emma Navarro jokes why she is getting &#8216;worried&#8217; about Jannik Sinner ahead of playing with him at the US Open"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>With the conclusion of Wimbledon, all eyes are on the build-up to the fourth and final major of the year, which will see a switch-up in the mixed doubles scene. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Earlier this year, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetennisgazette.com\/news\/us-open-very-excited-about-new-event-as-this-years-tournament-with-major-players-signed-up\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">the US Open announced a change to its mixed doubles tournament<\/a>, cutting the field from 32 teams to 16, and bringing it forward to the first week of the event. <\/p>\n<p>It will also now feature several top-ranked <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetennisgazette.com\/tag\/atp\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">ATP<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetennisgazette.com\/tag\/wta\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">WTA<\/a> singles stars, who will partner up in the newly revamped format to contend for the title. <\/p>\n<p>One of those partnerships will see the Wimbledon champion <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetennisgazette.com\/tag\/jannik-sinner\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Jannik Sinner<\/a> play alongside world number 11 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetennisgazette.com\/tag\/emma-navarro\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Emma Navarro<\/a>, who recently sent a message to the Italian ahead of their campaign together. <\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\"  src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/GettyImages-2170860827-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"Arthur Ashe Stadium.\" \/>Photo by Jamie Squire\/Getty ImagesEmma Navarro\u2019s message to Jannik Sinner ahead of the US Open<\/p>\n<p>In a post on social media, Navarro said: \u201cHey Jannik, it\u2019s Emma here, just want to say a huge congratulations on the Wimbledon title.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI watched a lot of your matches. I watched the final and you look like you\u2019re playing a lot of good tennis. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut I\u2019m just getting a little worried because I didn\u2019t see that much net play. You did hit a tweener between your legs at the net at one point, which was kind of cool, or whatever, but you missed the overhead.
