SAN ANTONIO – A suspect will spend more than 17 years behind bars after pleading guilty to receipt of Child Pornography.<\/p>\n
On Thursday, the United States Department of Justice announced that 44-year-old David Guzman had been sentenced to 210 months, or 17.5 years in prison, for receipt of Child Pornography.<\/p>\n
According to court documents, Guzman had knowingly received the child pornography and had used both his cell phone and laptop to search for and download the illicit content.<\/p>\n
\u201cSeeking out and downloading child pornography, as Guzman did, eternally victimizes the innocent children forced to engage in despicable acts and encourages the production of child sexual abuse material,\u201d said U.S. Attorney Justin R. Simmons for the Western District of Texas. \u201cProtecting children from predators and criminal exploitation remains a priority in this district, and I thank our partners at HSI San Antonio for working with us to bring this predator to justice.\u201d<\/p>\n
Court records also say that Guzman had possessed 107 image files and 268 videos, containing infants, toddlers, and bestiality, among other “sadistic acts.”<\/p>\n
