{"id":71279,"date":"2025-07-18T00:36:11","date_gmt":"2025-07-18T00:36:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/71279\/"},"modified":"2025-07-18T00:36:11","modified_gmt":"2025-07-18T00:36:11","slug":"zohran-mamdani-is-giving-nyc-businesses-fair-notice-hes-coming-after-them","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/71279\/","title":{"rendered":"Zohran Mamdani is giving NYC businesses fair notice: He&#8217;s coming after them"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Democratic mayoral nominee <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2025\/07\/17\/opinion\/zohran-mamdani-is-giving-nyc-businesses-fair-notice-hes-coming-after-them\/mailto:press@zohranfornyc.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Zohran Mamdani<\/a> is giving business leaders fair warning: He promised he\u2019d tax them and wealthy New Yorkers if elected \u2014 and he means to keep that promise.<\/p>\n<p>He basically dared them to leave the city if he did.<\/p>\n<p>Say goodbye to city tax revenue and jobs and hello to a downward spiral, if that happens.<\/p>\n<p>On Tuesday, the Dem front-runner met with <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2025\/07\/15\/us-news\/zohran-mamdani-sticks-to-socialist-guns-tax-the-rich-plan-during-highly-anticipated-sitdown-with-nyc-big-business-leaders\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">100 of the city\u2019s top business leaders<\/a> and made absolutely no attempt to hide his plans.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe didn\u2019t back away from any policy position,\u201d one attendee told The Post.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>As <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2025\/07\/15\/opinion\/rise-of-zohran-has-wall-street-giving-up-on-gotham\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Post\u2019s Charles Gasparino reproted<\/a>, many top business honchos are now \u201clooking for an exit strategy rather than a strategy to deal with a mayor Mamdani.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\t\t\tMore From\t\t\t\t\t\t\tPost Editorial Board<\/p>\n<p>Who can blame them?
