\n\tMichael J. Fox<\/a> is alive and well, the \u201cBack to the Future\u201d icon assured fans on Threads<\/a> after CNN<\/a> sparked a death scare by releasing a video on its content platforms titled \u201cRemembering the life of actor Michael J. Fox.\u201d <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cHow do you react when you turn on the TV and CNN is reporting your death?\u201d Fox asked his followers. \u201cDo you\u2026A) switch to MNSBC, or whatever they are calling themselves these days, (B) Pour scolding hot water on your lap, if it hurts your fine, (C) Call your wife, hopefully she\u2019s concerned but reassuring, (D) Relax, they do this once every year, (E) Ask yourself wtf ? I thought the world was ending, but apparently it\u2019s just me and I\u2019m ok. Love, Mike.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tA CNN spokesperson commented on the manner in the following statement (via People<\/a>): \u201cThe package was published in error; we have removed it from our platforms and send our apologies to Michael J. Fox and his family.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe night before CNN\u2019s death scare, Fox appeared in person<\/a> at the PaleyFest in Los Angeles alongside his \u201cShrinking\u201d co-stars for a panel discussion on Season 3. Fox joined the series this year as guest star opposite Harrison Ford. Creator Bill Lawrence said he hoped to bring back Fox for Season 4 in some capacity, with Fox telling the audience he was up for it: \u201cI would love to do it \u2013 it would be my honor.\u201d <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cShrinking\u201d marked Fox\u2019s first acting role since 2020. He originally announced he was retiring from acting via his book, \u201cNo Time Like the Future,\u201d where he told fans that his Parkinson\u2019s was making it too difficult to be on set and to memorize lines. But on the \u201cShrinking\u201d set, it didn\u2019t matter.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cIt was the first time ever I get to show up on-set, and I didn\u2019t have to worry about am I too tired or coughing or anything,\u201d Fox told\u00a0People magazine<\/a>\u00a0last year. \u201cI just do it. It was really good, because for the moments when I say, \u2018I\u2019m not going to be able to do this,\u2019 then I say, \u2018Well, I\u2019ll just deal with how I can\u2019t do it in the scene.\u2019 And you get through it.\u201d<\/p>\n
