Braman\u2019s agent, Sean Stellato, shared the unfortunate development in an interview with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcnews.com\/sports\/nfl\/bryan-braman-former-eagles-player-super-bowl-champ-dies-38-brain-cance-rcna219308\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">NBC News<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Braman, who was part of the Philadelphia Eagles\u2019 Super Bowl-winning team in 2018, discovered he had an aggressive form of brain cancer earlier this year. He underwent a 12-week treatment at a Seattle hospital to fight the dreaded illness before returning to his home in Spokane to continue his recovery.<\/p>\n<p>The Eagles released a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DMNxytfvdqg\/?igsh=NXJodXkxbWFrOGs5\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">statement<\/a> about Braman following the news of his death. They paid tribute to their former player, who saw action for Philadelphia for four seasons before retiring in 2018.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p id=\"anchor-0d8268\" class=\"body-graf\">\u201cWe are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Bryan Braman,\u201d the Eagles wrote. \u201cDuring his four seasons in Philadelphia, Bryan was a loyal teammate, a supporter of the community, and a valuable member of our Super Bowl LII-winning team.\u201d<\/p>\n<p id=\"anchor-c3d7ac\" class=\"body-graf\">\u201cMore importantly, he was a devoted father who passionately loved his family and everyone around him. He started his professional career at Houston, suiting up for the Texans from 2011 to 2013 before joining Philadelphia in 2014. He ended his NFL career with a bang, helping the Eagles secure a dramatic 41-33 victory over the New England Patriots in Super Bowl LII.<\/p>\n<p>Braman starred for Philadelphia in that title showdown, sniffing out <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nydailynews.com\/2025\/07\/17\/bryan-braman-cause-of-death-brain-cancer\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">New England\u2019s trick play<\/a> with its kickoff return in the closing minutes of the fourth quarter. He started as a redshirt at the University of Idaho before moving to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lbccvikings.com\/general\/2017-18\/releases\/20180129qkb357\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Long Beach City College<\/a> to play for the Vikings. He impressed as a defensive end for Long Beach City in 2007 and 2008. Braman was named in the First-Team Southern California Football Association All-Southern Conference during those two years.<\/p>\n<p>After his stint with Long Beach City, Braman moved to West Texas A&amp;M in 2009. He played 17 games for the Buffaloes, recording 57 tackles and nine sacks during his stay there.
