As search and rescue efforts continue following the devastating Fourth of July floods, residents and visitors in Kerrville have found a heartfelt way to honor those who lost their lives.\u00a0<\/p>\n

What began as a simple fence in downtown Kerrville has transformed into a powerful tribute site.<\/p>\n

2.\u00a0Puppies rescued from flood-stricken Texas arrive at Chicago shelter<\/a><\/b><\/p>\n

Nine puppies from parts of Texas submerged by\u00a0catastrophic flooding<\/a>\u00a0that\u00a0killed at least 132 people<\/a>\u00a0arrived Wednesday at the no-kill shelter\u00a0PAWS Chicago<\/a>, joining dozens of puppies that had already arrived.<\/p>\n

This is the second batch of\u00a0pets<\/a>\u00a0to arrive in Chicago from Texas. The group Austin Pets Alive!, which has been on the ground in the flood-stricken region since the flooding began, has coordinated the effort with PAWS Chicago.<\/p>\n

3.\u00a0Camp Mystic leader may not have seen urgent alert before Texas flood, family spokesman says<\/a><\/b><\/p>\n

The leader of Camp Mystic had been tracking the weather before\u00a0the deadly Texas floods<\/a>, but it is now unclear whether he saw an urgent warning from the National Weather Service that had triggered an emergency alert to phones in the area, a spokesman for camp\u2019s operators said Wednesday.<\/p>\n

<\/b>The new account by the family comes as Camp Mystic staff has come under scrutiny of their actions, what preventive measures were taken and the camp’s emergency plan leading up to and during the catastrophic flood that has killed at least 132 people.<\/p>\n
