{"id":71992,"date":"2025-07-18T06:59:10","date_gmt":"2025-07-18T06:59:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/71992\/"},"modified":"2025-07-18T06:59:10","modified_gmt":"2025-07-18T06:59:10","slug":"republican-party-slams-zohran-mamdanis-support-for-abolition-of-private-property","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/71992\/","title":{"rendered":"Republican Party slams Zohran Mamdani&#8217;s support for `abolition of private property&#8217;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>New York City socialist Democratic mayoral nominee Zohran Mamdani is being ripped for advocating \u201cthe abolition of private property\u201d \u2014 as a<a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/RNCResearch\/status\/1945847618434748442\"> video resurfaced <\/a>of him touting the radical position this week.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf there was any system that could guarantee each person housing \u2014 whether you call it the abolition of private property or you call it a statewide housing guarantee \u2014 it is preferable to what is going on right now,\u201d Mamdani said in the video shared by RNC Research.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPeople try to play gotcha games about these kinds of things. Look, I care more about whether somebody has a home.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Mamdani was advocating for \u201cthe abolition of private property\u201d in the video. x\/RNCResearch<\/p>\n<p>The RNC reposting of the old clip \u2014 first appearing on the \u201cEnd Wokeness\u201d group\u2019s X site \u2014 is a strong indication that GOP officials will seek to tie Democratic opponents to Mamdani in the 2026 congressional midterm elections, especially if he wins the mayoralty.<\/p>\n<p>Suggesting or supporting stripping owners of property rights without just compensation is controversial and in some instances, illegal.<\/p>\n<p>Mamdani, in another resurfaced clip, talks up \u201cseizing the means of production\u201d \u2014 a policy long advanced by Marxists.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2025\/07\/08\/us-news\/trump-threatens-federal-takeover-of-nyc-if-communist-mamdani-wins-mayoral-race\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">President Trump<\/a> has called Mamdani a \u201ccommunist.\u201d He identifies as a Democratic socialist.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMamdani will be a gift to Republicans,\u201d said New York State Republican Party chairman Ed Cox.<\/p>\n<p>New York State Republican Committee Chairman Ed Cox speaking during the 2024 New York GOP Gala, which was held at the New York Hilton Hotel in New York, NY on April 4, 2024. GRAEME SLOAN\/EPA\/Shutterstock<\/p>\n<p>A 33-year-old Queens assemblyman, Mamdani shocked the political world by <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2025\/06\/24\/us-news\/andrew-cuomo-concedes-as-zohran-mamdani-wins-nyc-mayoral-primary-in-stunning-upset\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">defeating ex-Gov. <\/a>Andrew Cuomo in the Democratic primary last month.<\/p>\n<p>Mamdani is now favored to win the general election against incumbent Mayor Eric Adams, Republican nominee Curtis Sliwa and Cuomo. Kathy Hochul, Sen.
