The wind gusts today were in the 20-mph range. On Wednesday, Jacksonville International Airport, Craig Executive Airport and Gainesville saw record-breaking wind.<\/p>\n
The National Weather Service Office in Jacksonville reported that JAX recorded the all-time windiest April day with average wind speeds of 22 mph. At Craig Executive, a 52-mph wind gust of 52 mph was the 5th strongest recorded for the month of April and Gainesville ranked 6th for the month with an average wind speed of 15.6 mph. <\/p>\n
The onshore flow continues, although much lighter this weekend. This will keep a High Risk of Rip Currents along our beaches this weekend.<\/p>\n

Saturday: Patchy morning fog then warming under partly cloudy skies. Morning lows will be in the low 50s and 60s. Afternoon highs will reach the upper 70s to 80s. Light winds overnight with patchy fog. Wind: NE 5-15 mph.<\/p>\n

Sunday: The warmer than average temperatures continue after some morning fog. Wake up temperatures in the 50s and 60s will start the day. Skies will become partly cloudy, with highs in the upper 70s to low 80s inland, 70s along the beaches. Wind: SE 5-15 mph. Patchy to dense fog overnight.<\/p>\n
Looking ahead: Temperatures will climb, with dry weather expected next week. The extreme to exceptional drought continues.<\/p>\n
