The tool is a result of the Hospital Transparency Act (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.leg.state.nv.us\/App\/NELIS\/REL\/83rd2025\/Bill\/12437\/Overview\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">AB 343<\/a>), signed into law by Governor Lombardo.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/nevadahospitalpricefinder.patientrightsadvocate.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Nevada Hospital Price Finder<\/a>, developed by\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/patientrightsadvocate.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">PatientRightsAdvocate.org<\/a>, allows patients, employers, and researchers to search and compare the exact prices of hospital services across the state \u2013 helping prevent surprise billing and empowering more informed healthcare decisions.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn the most recent legislative session, I prioritized health care initiatives aimed at expanding access, reducing costs, and increasing transparency across the system,\u201d\u00a0said Governor Lombardo.\u00a0\u201cThe Hospital Transparency Act protects Nevadans from surprise bills and overcharges by requiring hospitals to provide clear, accessible price lists when patients seek care.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>AB 343 codifies federal hospital price transparency requirements into Nevada law while adding strong state-level enforcement measures. Hospitals are now required to publicly post clear, accessible pricing information for all services and provide consumer-friendly tools for comparing at least 300 shoppable procedures.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWith the Hospital Transparency Act, we are delivering real accountability,\u201d\u00a0<strong>Governor Lombardo continued.<\/strong>\u00a0\u201cNo more surprises, no more guesswork\u2014just straightforward answers on healthcare costs.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Cynthia Fisher, Founder and Chairman of PatientRightsAdvocate.org, emphasized the national significance of Nevada\u2019s leadership on transparency.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Nevada Hospital Price Finder gives all Nevadans free access to upfront healthcare prices, protecting them from overcharges and enabling them to seek the best care at the best prices,\u201d\u00a0said Cynthia Fisher.\u00a0\u201cThis tool empowers Nevadans to spot wide price variations, seek affordable care, and benefit from financial certainty.
