Paslay Group has hired Theodore “Ted” Kitchens as an engagement executive, supporting the firm\u2019s client engagement, operations, and business development.<\/p>\n
The firm called Kitchens a \u201crespected aviation industry executive\u201d who has led business strategy and capital development programs from\u00a0Houston\u00a0to\u00a0Atlanta.<\/p>\n
“Throughout his career, Ted has developed rich insights into how airports are \u2013 and should be \u2014 planned, developed, and operated,” said R.\u00a0Clay Paslay, Paslay Group CEO and managing partner, in a statement. “He is well-known for his service to our industry associations and his ability to collaborate and foster trust with partners.\u201d<\/p>\n
Kitchens brings nearly 30 years of experience in the aviation industry, including leadership as director of Manchester-Boston Regional Airport. He is recognized for building high-performing teams and leading award-winning operations at airports such as George Bush Intercontinental.<\/p>\n
His expertise covers all aspects of airport management \u2014 planning, design, construction, operations, finance, and air service development, with a strong understanding of the distinct challenges faced by both small non-hub and large-hub airports. He has held leadership roles during complex crises, including including historic flooding at IAH following Hurricane Harvey and the COVID-19 pandemic at MHT.<\/p>\n

Kitchens has a master\u2019s in urban and regional planning from University of Florida, and a bachelor\u2019s degree in sociology from the University of Central Florida. He also has a certificate of management from Emory University.<\/p>\n
