{"id":724233,"date":"2026-04-13T04:50:16","date_gmt":"2026-04-13T04:50:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/724233\/"},"modified":"2026-04-13T04:50:16","modified_gmt":"2026-04-13T04:50:16","slug":"clippers-beat-warriors-will-play-them-again-in-play-in-tournament","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/724233\/","title":{"rendered":"Clippers beat Warriors, will play them again in play-in tournament"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Bennedict Mathurin had 20 points, nine rebounds and eight assists off the bench, and <a class=\"link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.latimes.com\/sports\/clippers\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">the Clippers<\/a> defeated the Golden State Warriors <a class=\"link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nba.com\/game\/gsw-vs-lac-0022501199\/box-score\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">115-110 on Sunday<\/a> in a play-in tournament preview.<\/p>\n<p>The Clippers settled for <a class=\"link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nba.com\/standings\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">the No. 9 seed<\/a> and will host the 10th-seeded Warriors on Wednesday after Portland beat Sacramento 122-110 to claim the eighth seed. The Clippers and Trail Blazers finished with identical 42-40 records, but Portland won the tiebreaker based on its better Western Conference record.<\/p>\n<p>The Clippers began the season 6-21 and rallied to extend their franchise-record streak of 15 seasons with a winning record, the longest active run in the NBA and fourth-longest in league history.<\/p>\n<p>Stephen Curry scored 24 points, going four for nine from three-point range, to lead the Warriors, who finished  37-45. Curry was limited to 29 minutes after playing in four of the last five games, having missed the previous 27 because of  a right knee injury.<\/p>\n<p>The Clippers\u2019 bench outscored the Warriors\u2019 reserves 71-56.
