Day 2 should be full of exciting grass court action.

WTA Bad Homburg Day 2 Predictions
Ajla Tomljanovic vs Linda Noskova

Head-to-head: first meeting

Noskova might be the better player of the two in general, but this should still be a very close match. Tomljanovic has been playing a lot of matches this grass court season and playing at a very good level, including in the qualifying rounds here. Under normal circumstances, this should be a typical close grass court match, decided by fine margins and execution on big points.
Prediction: Tomljanovic in 3

Liudmila Samsonova vs Katerina Siniakova

Head-to-head: Siniakova 2-1 Samsonova

While Samsonova is definitely the better player of the two in general, on grass it’s a different story–as proven by the fact that two of the pair’s three previous matchups were at this tournament the past two years, and Siniakova won both of those matches (close three setters in both instances). We could well have the same outcome for a third consecutive year at Bad Homburg.
Prediction: Siniakova in 3

Embed from Getty Images

Ekaterina Alexandrova vs Belinda Bencic

Head-to-head: Bencic 4-3 Alexandrova

Alexandrova came tantalizingly close to the final in ‘s-Hertongenbosch, while Bencic is yet to play on grass this season. Judging by current form as well as their general level as players, Alexandrova should have a very clear edge here–even if the history of their matchup suggests that their matches tend to be very close and hard to call.
Prediction: Alexandrova in 2

Victoria Azarenka vs Laura Siegemund

Head-to-head: Azarenka 1-1 Siegemund

Azarenka is very far from her best days and it’s not really a shock whenever she loses a match these days, but all things considered she should still have a bit of an advantage over Siegemund at this point. Under normal circumstances she should be the one advancing here.
Prediction: Azarenka in 3

Main Photo Credit: Eric Bolte-USA TODAY Sports

[48
8640,8641,8642,8643,8644,8645,8646,8647,8648,8649,8650,8651,2479,2480,62,1464,1474,1475,67,132,68,8652,8653,8357,8358,2484
0":"post-7247","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-tennis","8":"tag-ajla-tomljanovic","9":"tag-ajla-tomljanovic-predictions","10":"tag-belinda-bencic","11":"tag-belinda-bencic-predictions","12":"tag-ekaterina-alexandrova","13":"tag-ekaterina-alexandrova-predictions","14":"tag-katerina-siniakova","15":"tag-katerina-siniakova-predictions","16":"tag-laura-siegemund","17":"tag-laura-siegemund-predictions","18":"tag-linda-noskova","19":"tag-linda-noskova-predictions","20":"tag-liudmila-samsonova","21":"tag-liudmila-samsonova-predictions","22":"tag-sports","23":"tag-tennis","24":"tag-tennis-picks","25":"tag-tennis-predictions","26":"tag-united-states","27":"tag-unitedstates","28":"tag-us","29":"tag-victoria-azarenka","30":"tag-victoria-azarenka-predictions","31":"tag-wta-bad-homburg-predictions","32":"tag-wta-picks","33":"tag-wta-predictions
["GET
