An early morning street takeover in Rosemead, Los Angeles, has sparked safety concerns, especially after four people suffered gunshot wounds. A video of the street takeover doing the rounds on X highlights the chaos that unfolded during the incident.<\/p>\n

According to a post by the Los Angeles Times<\/a>, the Los Angeles County Sheriff\u2019s Department is investigating the event that occurred at Del Mar and Garvey avenues at 1:47 a.m.<\/p>\n

Vehicles performed doughnuts at the intersection, as a large crowd surrounded the scene. Temple Station deputies\u00a0responded to the call in the early hours.<\/p>\n

However, the situation escalated when gunshots were heard during the takeover, leaving the four victims in need of urgent medical attention. The victims were transported to the hospital, where they were declared stable.<\/p>\n

A video on social media shows people running away after multiple gunshots were heard. However, it is unclear where the shots were fired from. The video was reposted by L.A. mayoral candidate\u00a0Spencer Pratt.<\/p>\n

Footage shows multiple black cars doing doughnuts on the road, as people stick their bodies out of the cars. The intersection is covered with smoke, and then the crowd begins to disperse as soon as gunshots are heard.<\/p>\n

The person filming can be heard asking another person to \u201cget down\u201d after sensing that shots were being fired in his direction. Pratt, who mentioned that street takeovers are frequent in LA, took a bold stance to tackle the problem if he were to become mayor. He wrote on X:<\/p>\n
