Penn State entered the final week of March without a single commitment for its 2027 recruiting class. Now, the Nittany Lions suddenly claim seven pledges<\/a>, boosted again Monday by the addition of Top247 tight end prospect Cooper Terwilliger<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Representing six different states, the early foundation of Penn State’s next freshman class has come together in swift fashion. Some were established long-term targets of head coach Matt Campbell<\/a><\/b> dating back to his time at Iowa State, while others secured scholarship offers and built rapport with the new staff during recent months.<\/p>\n

“I’m a huge person in relationships,” Campbell said earlier this month<\/a>. “Who fits Penn State? Who fits our culture? And so we’re going to do it slow and right, and we’re going to make sure any young man that we try to bring in here is the right fit for our football program.”<\/p>\n

This recent success sent the Nittany Lions surging from\u00a0an empty class on March 28th to college football’s No. 18 overall recruiting haul in 247Sports’ 2027 rankings<\/a> on April 13. So what comes next in Penn State’s efforts to construct a championship-contending future?<\/p>\n
