{"id":727437,"date":"2026-04-14T14:10:22","date_gmt":"2026-04-14T14:10:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/727437\/"},"modified":"2026-04-14T14:10:22","modified_gmt":"2026-04-14T14:10:22","slug":"robots-captured-russian-army-positions-for-first-time-in-history-zelenskyy-says-politico","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/727437\/","title":{"rendered":"Robots captured Russian army positions for first time in history, Zelenskyy says \u2013 POLITICO"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Ukrainian army has been scaling up the use of ground robotic systems, currently piloted by humans from a safe distance, to perform different assault operations and pull out wounded troops from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.eu\/article\/surviving-the-killzone-how-drones-erased-frontline-and-changed-war-in-ukraine\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">the kill zone<\/a>, where human evacuation teams could be destroyed by drones.<\/p>\n<p>In January, Ukrainian ground robot Droid TW-7.62, equipped with artificial intelligence elements for autonomous detection, capture and tracking of targets, took three Russian soldiers as POWs, Ukrainian defense manufacturer Devdroid <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/reel\/834034969680496\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">said<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Zelenskyy said that in the first three months of 2026, ground robotic systems performed more than 22,000 missions on Ukraine\u2019s front line.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn other words, lives were saved more than 22,000 times when a robot went into the most dangerous areas instead of a warrior.
