Yesterday Apple released<\/a> beta 2 of iPadOS 26.5, tvOS 26.5, and more for developers, and now today the public beta version has arrived too.<\/p>\n

Here\u2019s what to expect from iPadOS 26.5 public beta 2 and more<\/p>\n

If you\u2019re part of Apple\u2019s public beta program, there are new software updates available to install today.<\/p>\n

Anyone can join the beta software program at beta.apple.com<\/a> to get advanced access to forthcoming updates for iPhone, iPad, Mac, and more.<\/p>\n

Today Apple released public beta 2 for iPadOS 26.5, tvOS 26.5, watchOS 26.5, and more.<\/p>\n

The new releases are the exact same builds that shipped to developers yesterday<\/a>.<\/p>\n

So far after a day of testing, changes seem pretty minimal compared to beta 1 from a couple weeks ago.<\/p>\n

Apple Maps now has a popup<\/a> with details on ads that will launch in the US and Canada this summer. Otherwise, it\u2019s been hard to spot anything new.<\/p>\n

Beta 1 of iOS 26.5 and its companion updates brought end-to-end encrypted RCS messaging<\/a> to the Messages app, a new Suggested Places feature<\/a> in Maps, and some smaller updates<\/a>.<\/p>\n
