{"id":728247,"date":"2026-04-14T22:03:22","date_gmt":"2026-04-14T22:03:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/728247\/"},"modified":"2026-04-14T22:03:22","modified_gmt":"2026-04-14T22:03:22","slug":"honorhealth-opens-heart-lab-in-scottsdale","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/728247\/","title":{"rendered":"HonorHealth opens heart lab in Scottsdale"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>HonorHealth has added a new state-of-the-art cardiac catheterization lab at HonorHealth Scottsdale Thompson Peak Medical Center aimed at helping patients both young and old without having to conduct open heart surgery.<\/p>\n<p>While heart problems are generally thought of as being something older patients deal with, the lab can help younger people too.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBasically, these surgeries allow us to open locked arteries, replace failing heart valves or repair them, replace or repair congenital abnormalities,\u201d said Dr. Haidar Yassin, an interventional cardiologist and the network director for structural heart disease for HonorHealth Heart Care. \u201cThese are kids that are born with abnormalities in their hearts that undergo some sort of a cardiac surgery as children. (This) allows them to basically grow into adulthood. And now we have a whole new population that is basically new to the cardiac community.
