{"id":72847,"date":"2025-07-18T14:23:41","date_gmt":"2025-07-18T14:23:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/72847\/"},"modified":"2025-07-18T14:23:41","modified_gmt":"2025-07-18T14:23:41","slug":"arizona-woman-sentenced-for-trying-to-sell-fentanyl-heroin","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/72847\/","title":{"rendered":"Arizona woman sentenced for trying to sell fentanyl, heroin"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>PHOENIX \u2014 A southern Arizona woman was recently sentenced to time behind bars after admitting to trying to sell fentanyl and heroin pills, authorities announced Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>Elvira Felix pleaded guilty in Pima County Superior Court to two counts of attempting to sell a narcotic drug, a class 3 felony. She was sentenced July 9 to 2 1\/2 years in prison for each count to be served concurrently, according to the Arizona Attorney General\u2019s Office.<\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t<a href=\"https:\/\/ktar.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/Elvira-Vielma-Felix.jpg\" data-sub-html=\"Elvira Felix (Arizona Attorney General&#039;s Office)\" aria-label=\"Elvira Felix (Arizona Attorney General&#039;s Office)\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><br \/>\n\t\t\t<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/Elvira-Vielma-Felix-150x150.jpg\" class=\"attachment-thumbnail size-thumbnail\" alt=\"Elvira Felix (Arizona Attorney General's Office)\"\/>\t\t<\/a><\/p>\n<p>When did attempted sale of fentanyl and heroin pills happen?<\/p>\n<p>Both crimes happened in Pima County. The first happened in December 2024, when Felix was caught trying to sell about 2.65 pounds of heroin pills to a third party. Just months later, in March 2025, she was caught trying to sell about 2.4 pounds of fentanyl pills to a third party.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLet me be clear: If you are trafficking fentanyl in Arizona, my office and our law enforcement partners will find you and bring you to justice,\u201d Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes said in a<a href=\"https:\/\/www.azag.gov\/az-ago-announces-felix-fentanyl-sentencing\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\"> press release<\/a>. \u201cDismantling the criminal organizations that traffic fentanyl into our communities is an ongoing priority of my office.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Felix was also ordered to pay $4,500 to Arizona\u2019s Anti-Racketerring Revolving Fund and $8,000 to the Arizona Department of Public Safety to pay for the costs of the investigation.<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"twitter-follow-button\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/J_Vinton52\" data-show-count=\"false\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Follow @J_Vinton52<\/a><\/p>\n<p>We want to hear from you.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-top: 0px;\">Have a story idea or tip?
