{"id":729255,"date":"2026-04-15T08:16:15","date_gmt":"2026-04-15T08:16:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/729255\/"},"modified":"2026-04-15T08:16:15","modified_gmt":"2026-04-15T08:16:15","slug":"texas-fashion-week-struts-back-into-san-antonio-for-2026","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/729255\/","title":{"rendered":"Texas Fashion Week struts back into San Antonio for 2026"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Strike a pose. <a href=\"https:\/\/texasfashionweek.org\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">Texas Fashion Week<\/a> is returning to San Antonio June 1-7, 2026, bringing runway shows, industry panels, and a showcase of designers all helping to build a serious fashion economy in the Lone Star State.<\/p>\n<p>The week-long event is organized by the <a href=\"https:\/\/texasfashionindustry.org\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">Texas Fashion Industry Initiative<\/a> (TFII), a nonprofit focused on economic development and creative empowerment for Texas-based fashion professionals. This year&#8217;s runway lineup includes Houston-native designer Johnathan Hayden, <a href=\"https:\/\/cfda.com\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">Council of Fashion Designers of America<\/a> scholarship winner Jesus Del Real, Becky Hollands, LeTourneau Couture, and Taryor Gabriels Clothing, among others.<\/p>\n<p>The anchor of the programming is the annual TFII Conference, bringing together partners including LaunchSA, The Pink Berets, San Antonio Young Professionals, and The Creative Futures. The day of panels cover a wide range of topics, from how to build brands using state-of-the-art technology to careers for servicewomen.<\/p>\n<p>Fashionistas fond of Project Runway and RuPaul\u2019s Drag Race\u2019s unconventional materials challengers won\u2019t want to miss the Education Activation \u2014 a sustainability-focused day where Texas colleges and high schools compete to create spring-themed designs from sustainable materials. While the budding designers won\u2019t be using safety netting, upcycled garments and textile scraps will be given new life, fighting against the waste of fast fashion.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat we&#8217;re building isn&#8217;t just a runway for designers\u2014we&#8217;re (slowly) creating a sustainable infrastructure that prioritizes the business side of fashion,&#8221; says TFII President Saige Thomas. \u201cWe&#8217;re looking for the perfect event equation that highlights the garment but also translates to healthy sales for Texas designers.
