\n\tKaty Perry<\/a> is under investigation by Australian police following graphic sexual assault claims<\/a> from Orange Is the New Black star Ruby Rose<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Victoria Police have confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter: \u201cMelbourne Sexual Offenses and Child Abuse Investigation Team (SOCIT) detectives are investigating [an alleged] historical sexual assault that occurred in Melbourne in 2010. Police have been told the incident occurred at a licensed premises in Melbourne\u2019s [Central Business District]. As the investigation remains ongoing, it would be inappropriate to comment further at this stage.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tEarlier this week, Rose wrote online that she\u2019d \u201cjust left the police station\u201d after alleging on Threads that Perry sexually assaulted her at a nightclub in Melbourne some years ago.<\/p>\n

\n\tOn Sunday, the Australian Batgirl actress wrote in response to a comment about Perry being at Coachella: \u201cI was only in my early 20s. I\u2019m now 40. It has taken almost 2 decades to say this publicly \u2026 I told the story publicly but changed it to be a \u2018funny little drunk story\u2019 because I didn\u2019t know how else to handle it. Later she agreed to help me get my US visa. So I kept it a secret. But I DID tell yall she wasn\u2019t a good person. Instead I got attacked by.. everyone.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tAfter a fan, referencing Perry\u2019s 2008 hit \u201cI Kissed a Girl,\u201d said: \u201cShe kissed a girl and you didn\u2019t like it?\u201d Rose responded: \u201cShe didn\u2019t kiss me. She saw me \u2018resting\u2019 on my best friends lap to avoid her and bent down, pulled her underwear to the side and rubbed her disgusting vagina on my face until my eyes snapped open and I projectile vomited on her.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tRose initially said she was \u201cnot interested in filing a [police] report over this,\u201d but said in a Tuesday Threads post that she\u2019d \u201cfinalized all of my reports\u201d and would no longer be able to \u201ccomment, repost, or talk publicly about any of those cases, or the individuals involved.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe alleged offence was swiftly refuted by the popstar\u2019s team on Monday. They called the claims \u201creckless lies.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cThe allegations being circulated on social media by Ruby Rose about Katy Perry are not only categorically false, they are dangerous, reckless lies. Ms. Rose has a well-documented history of making serious public allegations on social media against various individuals, claims that have repeatedly been denied by those named,\u201d said a rep for Perry.<\/p>\n
