\n\tCBS<\/a> is introducing a fall schedule with only two half-hour comedies. It is believed to be an all-time low for the network.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe lineup also includes four franchise blocks, FBI<\/a> on Tuesdays, NCIS<\/a> on Wednesdays, Fire Country<\/a> on Friday and, with an asterisk, a Robert & Michelle King pair on Thursday. MIAs are Ghosts and Matlock, which had been fall staples since their launches, as well as NCIS: Origins. New next season are dramas NCIS: New York, Cupertino and Einstein.<\/p>\n

\n\tHere is the schedule, followed by brief analysis and descriptions of CBS\u2019 new 2026-27 series.<\/p>\n

\t\t\t\t\t\t\"\"<\/p>\n

\n\tIn presenting the fall schedule, CBS Entertainment President Amy Reisenbach touted \u201ca strong foundation of returning hits who are early in their cycle.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThat is exemplified by Tracker<\/a>, in its third year, and freshman Marshals<\/a>, which alternate as No.1 most watched series each week. They are staying put on Sunday behind 60 Minutes.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cWe have a triple threat and are not going to mess with perfection,\u201d Reisenbach said.<\/p>\n

\n\tAlso coming back is CBS\u2019 2025-26 Friday lineup of Sheriff Country<\/a>, Fire Country and Boston Blue, with Reisenbach noting the network\u2019s stronghold on the night as No.1 in viewers for the past 16 years. Ditto for Wednesday\u2019s Survivor and The Amazing Race duo, the latter again doing one cycle a season.<\/p>\n

\n\tGone is the Monday comedy block of departing The Neighborhood and canceled DMV. Their 8 PM hour is being taken over by FBI, followed by CIA, each sliding up an hour, followed by Harlan Coben\u2019s Final Twist.<\/p>\n

\n\tAsked about the reduced number of half-hour comedies on the schedule, Reisenbach noted that CBS has comedic elements in hour-long series, including Elsbeth, which switched from drama to comedy at the Emmys this year, and the upcoming crime procedural Einstein starring Matthew Gray Gubler, launching in midseason.<\/p>\n

\n\tTuesday is staying an NCIS-branded night. Instead of NCIS: Sydney, NCIS at 8 PM and NCIS: Origins at 10 PM will be sandwiching a new spinoff, NCIS: New York, headlined by LL Cool J, reprising his NCIS: LA character Sam Hanna, and Scott Caan.<\/p>\n

\n\tNCIS: Sydney will be back in midseason, taking over Origins\u2018 slot as the NCIS prequel will have a reduced order for next season.<\/p>\n

\n\tDespite all the similarities between Ghosts and new single-camera comedy series Eternally Yours, from the same showrunners Joe Port and Joe Wiseman, CBS opted to launch the freshman behind the multi-camera Georgie & Mandy\u2019s First Marriage on Thursday.<\/p>\n

\n\tReisenbach explained the decision with the Young Sheldon offshoot being the top comedy on television and a strong launch pad. As for Ghosts, it still will produce a full season of 22, she said. That includes Halloween and Christmas specials.<\/p>\n

Refusing to back down, he joins forces with another recently fired attorney (Rachel Keller) to represent those taken advantage of by the tech elite and help them fight back in a high-stakes battle against the Goliaths controlling Silicon Valley. CUPERTINO is produced by CBS Studios. Robert and Michelle King will serve as executive producers and co-showrunners under their King Size Productions banner, with Robert directing the premiere episode.
