{"id":73134,"date":"2025-07-18T16:50:17","date_gmt":"2025-07-18T16:50:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/73134\/"},"modified":"2025-07-18T16:50:17","modified_gmt":"2025-07-18T16:50:17","slug":"alamo-acquires-iconic-bicycle-from-pee-wees-big-adventure","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/73134\/","title":{"rendered":"Alamo acquires iconic bicycle from Pee-wee&#8217;s Big Adventure"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>SAN ANTONIO &#8211; The Alamo announced Friday a whimsical and nostalgic new addition to its growing collection: the original, screen-used stunt bike from the beloved 1985 film Pee-Wee\u2019s Big Adventure.<\/p>\n<p>The bicycle, central to Pee-wee Herman\u2019s wild cross-country journey, and his memorable stop at the Alamo, will become a key exhibit in the Mays Family Legacy Gallery. <\/p>\n<p>The gallery will be part of the new Alamo Visitor Center and Museum, set to open in Fall 2027.<\/p>\n<p>The acquisition coincides with the 40th anniversary of the film\u2019s release, a milestone being celebrated by fans across the country.<\/p>\n<p>The bright red bicycle, which was a custom-built Schwinn DX Cruiser and used for stunt scenes in the film, has long been a favorite among collectors and fans of 1980s cinema.
