\t\t\t\t\t\t\tA new emergency room option will be coming to north Fort Worth in 2027.<\/p>\n
Baylor Scott & White<\/a> is opening a $15 million emergency room facility near Texas Motor Speedway. Construction already started on the 18,250-square-foot facility along SH 114.<\/p>\n An official groundbreaking ceremony with hospital, city and county officials in attendance was held April 15.<\/p>\n \u201cWhen you think of the growth in north Fort Worth, the Alliance area, you see the homes behind us and the schools that are popping up,\u201d said Charles Williams<\/a>, President of BSW DFW-West Region. \u201cIt just makes sense that we are here today. It makes sense that we are here to provide health care to those who live in this community and work in this community.\u201d<\/p>\n The breakdown<\/strong><\/p>\n Brett Kinman<\/a>, Emerus CEO for the Dallas-Fort Worth region, discussed what the hospital will feature when it opens in early 2027. It will be a 24\/7 emergency room with eight emergency room beds and will have eight inpatient beds for acute services, acute crises and short-term stays.<\/p>\n \u201cThis just won\u2019t be a medical center,\u201d Kinman said, \u201cIt will be a place where doctors, nurses and other caregivers actually sit at the bedside and listen to what’s going on and involve patients and their family in the clinical care plan.\u201d<\/p>\n The big picture<\/strong><\/p>\n Williams said the new health facility is a venture between Baylor Scott & White and Emerus, the nation\u2019s largest operator of neighborhood hospitals, according to its website.<\/p>\n Williams said Baylor Scott & White has partnered with Emerus since 2012 and operates eight hospitals together. The other locations are in Rockwall, Murphy, Aubrey, Mansfield, Grand Prairie, Keller, Colleyville and Burleson.<\/p>\n Williams said the Fort Worth location is one of four new facilities planned in the next 12 months.<\/p>\n Emerus<\/a> operates 49 hospitals, with locations<\/a> in West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Nevada, Washington, Tennessee and Wisconsin, according to its website.<\/p>\n
