The 36th Texas Black Invitational Rodeo will be held on July 26, 2025, at the Fair Park Coliseum in Dallas, Texas, and will showcase Black cowboys and cowgirls competing for cash prizes in various rodeo events. The event will also feature live music, concessions, and kids’ activities. Proceeds from the event will benefit the African American Museum, Dallas. Tickets are available at fairparktix.com and at the museum and at the coliseum on the day of the event.<\/p>\n

DALLAS\u00a0<\/strong>\u2013\u00a0Saddle up! Dust off those cowboy boots and giddy up to the\u00a036th\u00a0Texas Black Invitational Rodeo<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>on\u00a0Saturday, July 26, at 7 p.m.\u00a0at the Fair Park Coliseum (1438 Coliseum Dr., Dallas, Texas 75210).\u00a0Doors open at 6 p.m., with the Grand Entry Parade beginning at 6:30\u00a0p.m. and the competition at 7 p.m. Tickets are going fast for this annual favorite, which typically sells out each year.<\/p>\n

Presented by and benefiting the\u00a0African American Museum, Dallas<\/a><\/strong>, the family-fun rodeo showcases Black cowboys and cowgirls competing for cash prizes in bronc and bull riding, calf and steer roping, barrel racing and a Pony Express relay race.\u00a0The evening also features on-field kids\u2019 activities, trick lasso performances, live music, concessions, and more.<\/p>\n

Aside from the thrills and spills, the popular rodeo \u2013 which has sold out in advance in recent years \u2013 provides a powerful glimpse of the historical contributions African Americans made in settling the western U.S.<\/p>\n
