This includes fresh, frozen, canned and dried options. But a recent <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dietaryguidelines.gov\/sites\/default\/files\/2021-03\/Dietary_Guidelines_for_Americans-2020-2025.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">report<\/a> shows almost 90% of the U.S. population do not meet the recommendation for vegetable intake. <\/p>\n<p class=\"story-text \" data-index=\"11\">Powdered greens typically combine leafy greens, fruits, algae and herbs, providing a concentrated dose of micronutrients and antioxidants, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.healthline.com\/nutrition\/super-greens\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Healthline<\/a> reported. Literally, I could put whatever I want into a jar and say, \u2018This green supplement is going to help your skin look better, lose weight, no bloating,\u2019 and I don\u2019t have to back it up. So that\u2019s the dangerous world of supplementation.\u201d Although she doesn\u2019t personally reach for a greens supplement in her day-to-day, Hammett understands their appeal. <\/p>\n<p class=\"story-text \" data-index=\"18\">\u201cSome people do want that extra supplementation, or they\u2019re on the go too much or they\u2019re busy moms. I completely understand that, but I think the important part is just it shouldn\u2019t replace it.
