Gov. Dan Patrick on Monday criticized Gov. Greg Abbott\u2019s late-night veto of Senate Bill 3, which would have banned delta-8 THC and other hemp-derived products in Texas.<\/p>\n<p>In a post on X, Patrick accused Abbott of remaining \u201ctotally silent\u201d on the bill throughout the legislative session. He said the measure had the support of 105 of 108 Republican lawmakers, along with backing from law enforcement, the medical and education communities, and families affected by THC-related products.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHis late-night veto leaves them feeling abandoned,\u201d Patrick wrote on X.  \u201cI feel especially bad for those who testified and poured their hearts out on their tragic losses.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Patrick said he will address the issue further at a press conference on Tuesday in Austin.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"San Antonio \u2014 Lt.
