{"id":734954,"date":"2026-04-17T18:13:29","date_gmt":"2026-04-17T18:13:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/734954\/"},"modified":"2026-04-17T18:13:29","modified_gmt":"2026-04-17T18:13:29","slug":"noah-wyle-addresses-fans-asking-for-a-the-pitt-night-shift-spinoff","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/734954\/","title":{"rendered":"Noah Wyle Addresses Fans Asking For A &#8216;The Pitt&#8217; Night Shift Spinoff"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\t<strong>SPOILER ALERT: The following will reveal plot points from the Season 2 finale of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/hbo-max\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">HBO Max<\/a>\u2018s\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/the-pitt\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">The Pitt<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tFans of The Pitt\u2018s nighttime crew have been heard. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tSeries star and executive producer <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/noah-wyle\/\" id=\"auto-tag_noah-wyle\" data-tag=\"noah-wyle\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Noah Wyle<\/a> is aware of how much more time viewers would like to spend with the folks from the Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Center\u2019s emergency room night shift, and told Deadline whether or not they\u2019d consider doing a spinoff series.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\t\u201cAnything is possible, but it\u2019s not probable,\u201d Wyle, who plays Dr. Robby on the critically acclaimed medical drama, shared during an interview with Deadline last week.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tWhile that may not be the answer anyone was hoping for, there is something to celebrate. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tSeason 3 will bring fans a lot more of Dr. Parker Ellis, played by Ayesha Harris, a character who worked as part of the night shift for the show\u2019s first two seasons. <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/2026\/04\/the-pitt-supriya-ganesh-exits-ayesha-harris-promoted-s3-1236772328\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/2026\/04\/the-pitt-supriya-ganesh-exits-ayesha-harris-promoted-s3-1236772328\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Since Harris was recently promoted to series regular status<\/a>, we asked creator <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/r-scott-gemmill\/\" id=\"auto-tag_r-scott-gemmill\" data-tag=\"r-scott-gemmill\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">R. Since Season 2 spanned the Fourth of July weekend, fans got a lot more interactions between the day and night staff. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\t\u201cI like touching base with the night shift when we can because it\u2019s a whole different dynamic,\u201d shared Gemmill.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tThe night shift is led by Dr. Jack Abbot, played by <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/shawn-hatosy\/\" id=\"auto-tag_shawn-hatosy\" data-tag=\"shawn-hatosy\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Shawn Hatosy<\/a>. The team also includes Mateo Diaz (Jalen Thomas Brooks), Dr. John Shen (Ken Kirby), Dr. Cyrus Henderson (Luke Tennie), and Dr. Nazely Toomarian (Sofia Hasmik).<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tHatosy played a pivotal role in Dr. Robby coming around and away from his suicidal thoughts, even if a little bit, in the Season 2 finale. The newly minted Emmy winner, honored for his guest acting work on The Pitt, also directed Episode 9 of Season 2. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\t\u201cIt\u2019s great, I love working with Shawn. He\u2019s fantastic. He directed one episode this season, and he\u2019s gonna direct this year, I think. And I love writing for him; it\u2019s a great character. He adds gravitas to the scenes he\u2019s in.
