COLUMBUS, Ohio \u2014 Terrelle Pryor\u2019s<\/a> lawsuit against Ohio State<\/a>, the NCAA and the Big Ten over denied name, image and likeness compensation was dismissed Friday.<\/p>\n

A judge ruled OSU was covered by “sovereign immunity.” Pryor\u2019s claims were deemed to be outside the four-year statute of limitations for an antitrust lawsuit.<\/p>\n

Pryor, a former quarterback for the Buckeyes (2008-10), was the Big Ten Freshman of the Year in 2008. <\/p>\n

Much of his case centered around the money he would have made as one of the biggest names in college football during his time in Columbus. <\/p>\n

Before July 2021, collegiate athletes could not profit off their name, image and likeness. <\/p>\n

Pryor is a native of Jeannette, Pennsylvania. <\/p>\n

In three season with Ohio State, he threw for 6,177 yards and 57 touchdowns while rushing for another 2,164 yards and 17 scores.<\/p>\n

Pryor left Ohio State ahead of his senior season. He was taken by the Raiders in the third round of the supplemental draft in 2011. <\/p>\n
