CHICAGO (WLS) — A man died after being shot on the front porch of a home Sunday afternoon on the city’s West Side.<\/p>\n

The shooting happened around 4:15 p.m. in the 4400 block of West Monroe Street in West Garfield Park, Chicago police said.<\/p>\n

The victim, a 30-year-old man, was on the front porch of a residence when he was shot on the right side of his chest, police said.<\/p>\n

The man was taken to a hospital in critical condition, where he was later pronounced dead. His identity has not yet been released.<\/p>\n

There was no information about an offender in the shooting.<\/p>\n
