Two people were killed and three others were wounded in separate incidents of gun violence Saturday across Philadelphia<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Authorities said a man died shortly after he was shot at around 2:30 p.m. on the 400 block of Tasker Street in South Philadelphia<\/a>. Earlier, at around 12:45 a.m., a man was gunned down on the 1800 block of E. Clementine Street in Kensington<\/a>, according to police. Law enforcement did not provide any additional information about the killings.<\/p>\n

A person of interest was apprehended after a 40-year-old man was shot during a robbery at around 11:30 p.m. Saturday in a parking lot on the 4800 block of Broad Street in Logan, investigators said. He was hospitalized with a wound to his left calf and was listed in stable condition, the PPD added.<\/p>\n

In the Hunting Park neighborhood, someone shot a man just before 6:30 p.m. on the 500 block of W. Erie Avenue, police said. He was being treated for nonlife-threatening injuries.<\/p>\n

Just before 2 p.m., a man was struck by gunfire on the 6300 block of E. Wister Street in West Oak Lane, according to authorities. There was no word on his condition.<\/p>\n

Through April 18, there had been 33 homicides this year in Philadelphia, compared with 60 on the same date in 2025, according to police data<\/a>. The number of shooting victims is also down 41%.<\/p>\n
