I\u2019m taking a moment to focus on my health, but I\u2019ll be back with more to say soon enough.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tShe shared the post with a picture of a coffee mug and the words \u201cKissy Kissy\u201d written on it, placed on top of her new memoir You With the Sad Eyes, which was published last month. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tThe update comes after <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tmz.com\/2026\/04\/16\/christina-applegate-hospitalized\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">TMZ reported<\/a> last Thursday, April 16, that the veteran star had been hospitalized since late March. The actress had not commented on the report and her only Instagram post in April was an update on her memoir becoming a New York Times audio bestseller. After the report got picked up widely, Applegate\u2019s rep issued a statement declining comment on whether or not \u201cshe is in the hospital or what her medical treatments are.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tThe rep added, \u201cShe\u2019s had a long history of complicated medical conditions that she has been refreshingly open about, as evidenced in her memoir and on her podcast.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tWith fellow MS sufferer Jamie Lynn Sigler, Applegate hosts the MeSsy Podcast on which they regularly talk about their disease and how they navigate life. While promoting her new book, Applegate told <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2026\/03\/01\/books\/review\/christina-applegate-memoir.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">The New York Times<\/a> of MS, \u201cIt feels like pushing a boulder up a hill. My friend Cindy and I want to write a pamphlet called \u2018MS for Dumbasses.\u2019 We\u2019re going to pass it out to help people understand: It\u2019s slowly killing us, guys. Period, end of story,\u201d she said. \u201cWhether it\u2019s 20 years, 30 years, it\u2019s taking away our functions. \u2026 I wake up and my hands are cramped. I can\u2019t move my head, I can\u2019t walk to the bathroom. So don\u2019t say to me, \u2018You\u2019re looking so good today.\u2019 I don\u2019t want to hear it. Just help me up.
