Like on Android<\/a>, the Phone by Google app is getting a M3 Expressive redesign on Wear OS.<\/p>\n

People<\/a> are seeing an update to the in-call screen.\u00a0The end call button hugs the bottom edge of the display. It\u2019s larger than the existing circle for a bigger touch target that\u2019s helpful on this small screen.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Similarly, the mute and three-dot overflow buttons are further up the screen, with the call duration placed in the middle on the same line.\u00a0<\/p>\n

There are similar updates when you\u2019re dialing a number. The Google Phone Wear OS homescreen is presumably also getting M3 Expressive. This is not yet widely rolled out on watches we checked today.<\/p>\n

These are modest modernizations that are inline with the in-call screen redesign on phones. The \u201cMore\u201d menu still exists, but it\u2019s now a list like Call Assist instead of a grid. The bigger update is the incoming call screen that lets you pick between a left\/right slide or buttons to answer calls.<\/p>\n

Some users on the beta have the Home, Keypad, and Voicemail bottom bar already, while others have the full revamp with Material 3 Expressive.\u00a0<\/p>\n
