{"id":744057,"date":"2026-04-21T23:18:15","date_gmt":"2026-04-21T23:18:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/744057\/"},"modified":"2026-04-21T23:18:15","modified_gmt":"2026-04-21T23:18:15","slug":"netflix-plans-to-buy-historic-radford-studio-center","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/744057\/","title":{"rendered":"Netflix plans to buy historic Radford Studio Center"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Streaming entertainment giant Netflix is in negotiations to buy the historic <a class=\"link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.latimes.com\/business\/story\/2026-01-20\/historic-radford-studio-center-in-default-amid-hollywood-slowdown\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Radford Studio Center<\/a> movie lot in Studio City.<\/p>\n<p>Netflix plans to purchase the the Los Angeles lot that has been home to generations of landmark television shows including \u201cGunsmoke\u201d and \u201cSeinfeld,\u201d according to two people with knowledge of the pending deal who were not authorized to speak about it publicly.<\/p>\n<p>The studio\u2019s previous operator <a class=\"link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.latimes.com\/business\/story\/2026-01-20\/historic-radford-studio-center-in-default-amid-hollywood-slowdown\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Hackman Capital Partners defaulted <\/a>on a $1.1-billion mortgage in January. Investment bank Goldman Sachs took over the property and is in talks with Netflix to sell it for between $330 million and $400 million.<\/p>\n<p>A representative for Hackman declined to comment.
