Our classroom teachers deserve to be recognized, supported, and paid in a way that reflects the importance of their work.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The district clarified this raise is for classroom teachers of record with students in non-elevate schools, while there are other opportunities available to teachers at the district&#8217;s ELEVATE campuses, where they can earn between $88,000 and $100,000 or more.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">&#8220;Fort Worth ISD\u2019s leadership is moving swiftly to support our teachers, who are already doing incredible work, and to recruit more of the best and brightest educators in the U.S. to our city,\u201d Fort Worth Mayor Mattie Parker said in a statement. \u201cI\u2019m thrilled to see their urgency and ingenuity at work. Every one of our children, regardless of their zip code, deserves top teachers in their classrooms, and I\u2019m looking forward to seeing the talent Fort Worth recruits as a result of this campaign.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Fort Worth ISD Board Member Laurie George, a former FWISD teacher herself, said she&#8217;s excited to get the recruitment campaign underway and implement the raise.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">\u201cIf we want to move swiftly to improve student outcomes and attract and retain strong educators, these are exactly the tools we have to take out of the toolbox right away,&#8221; George said in a statement.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">A teacher job fair is being held by the district from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 2, at the FWISD Teaching and Learning center, 1050 Bridgewood Drive.
