The award-winning actress lit up the red carpet at Lifetime\u2019s summer soiree in Santa Monica on July 16, marking her first major public appearance of the season.<\/p>\n

The \u2018This Is Us\u201d alum, 44, attended the event at the Santa Monica Proper Hotel to promote her upcoming Lifetime film \u201cFaith in the Flames: The Nichole Jolly Story\u201d. <\/p>\n

She was all smiles as she posed with stars like Paula Patton, Kat Graham & Alexa PenaVega.<\/p>\n

Chrissy Reflects on Her 100-Pound Weight Loss Journey<\/strong><\/p>\n

In a recent interview with Daily Mail<\/a>, Metz revealed that she has hit the 100-pound milestone<\/a> in her health journey \u2014 an achievement she credits to consistency,<\/a> strength training & self-compassion<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cI have always enjoyed strength training. I\u2019ve always enjoyed lifting weights \u2014 like, I don\u2019t want to run unless I\u2019m being chased,\u201d she joked. \u201cI want to age the best way that I can, and I want to be strong. And that\u2019s really the impetus behind any of it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Metz works closely with a personal trainer<\/a>, sharing that she prefers motivation over intimidation. \u201cWe have things in common where it\u2019s not just like, \u2018Why are you doing this?\u2019 Like I don\u2019t want to be yelled at,\u201d she said. \u201cI want to be lovingly supported <\/a>in whatever it is that I\u2019m doing.\u201d<\/p>\n

On Ozempic & Destigmatizing Weight Loss Choices<\/strong><\/p>\n

Metz also addressed the growing popularity of weight loss medications like Ozempic, emphasizing that every journey is personal. \u201cIt is so personal and I think it\u2019s important to destigmatize anything,\u201d she told the Daily Mail<\/a>. \u201cBut I also think it\u2019s people\u2019s personal decision to decide what it is that they want to do for their body. I think ultimately, at the end of the day, we all just want to feel good and feel good about ourselves.\u201d<\/p>\n

Chrissy Metz Has Always Embraced Body Positivity<\/strong><\/p>\n

Metz has long been open about her relationship with her body. In a 2018 interview with Glamour,<\/a> she recalled the moment she finally felt confident enough<\/a> to wear a swimsuit in public. \u201cI grew up wearing a T-shirt at the pool,\u201d she said. \u201cAs an adult, I was like, \u2018I\u2019m gonna find a bathing suit I like and I\u2019m gonna wear it.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

That summer, while vacationing in Barbados, Metz proudly posted a photo of herself in a black Lane Bryant swimsuit. While some reactions were unexpectedly backhanded, she didn\u2019t let them dull her shine.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere were people like, \u2018Oh my God, look at you! You know I could never do that,\u2019\u201d she recalled<\/a>. \u201cIt\u2019s a backhanded compliment, but I\u2019m doing what I want to do.\u201d<\/p>\n
