Friday will be variably cloudy and mainly quiet with highs in the 50s and low 60s. While a spotty shower will be possible, many spots will make it through the day precipitation free.<\/p>\n

Unsettled weather returns to the forecast as rain chances increase into Saturday. Quieter weather builds back in again for Sunday and Monday.<\/p>\n

1.\u00a0Micron says construction of Clay facility ahead of schedule<\/a><\/b><\/p>\n

At CenterState CEO’s annual meeting on Wednesday, Manish Bhatia, an executive from the memory chip maker, said the company expects to be pouring concrete by the end of the year for the first of four fabrication facilities.<\/p>\n

2.\u00a0Clay hopes to see tech-related development like Malta’s<\/a><\/b><\/p>\n

Micron has broken ground on their project in Central New York, expected to bring 9,000 high-paying jobs to the community and expanding upstate New York\u2019s semiconductor landscape. A similar semiconductor development in the Capital Region broke ground in 2009: the addition of GlobalFoundries.<\/p>\n

3.\u00a0Friends of Zoo, Onondaga County sign agreement after negotiations turned tough<\/a><\/b><\/p>\n

Onondaga County and the Friends of the Rosamond Gifford Zoo reached an agreement on a new memorandum of understanding Wednesday, a day after a member of the zoo’s nonprofit board accused county leaders of conducting a campaign of hostility and retaliation over their unsuccessful efforts to pressure the group for a $1 million donation to the county’s Harborview Aquarium, now under construction.<\/p>\n

4.\u00a0Syracuse Airport plans to develop 46 acres of nearby land to include gas station, restaurants<\/a><\/b><\/p>\n

A spokesperson for Syracuse Hancock International Airport confirmed its plans to develop 46 acres of land along Eileen Collins Blvd. The authority that runs the airport is planning to develop the land.<\/p>\n

5.\u00a0Clinton school forum addresses foiled shooting plot<\/a><\/b><\/p>\n

The event gave families an opportunity to hear from law enforcement about the foiled shooting attempt and to ask questions about safety and what happens next.<\/p>\n

6.\u00a0Trump reclassifies state-licensed medical marijuana as less-dangerous drug in historic shift<\/a><\/b><\/p>\n

<\/b>President Donald Trump’s acting attorney general on Thursday signed an order reclassifying state-licensed medical marijuana as a less-dangerous drug, a major policy shift long sought by advocates who said cannabis should never have been treated like heroin by the federal government.<\/p>\n
