{"id":748667,"date":"2026-04-24T00:26:33","date_gmt":"2026-04-24T00:26:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/748667\/"},"modified":"2026-04-24T00:26:33","modified_gmt":"2026-04-24T00:26:33","slug":"nyc-girl-brutally-stomped-by-teen-boy-after-refusing-his-advances-was-lucky-to-survive-distraught-mom-says-while-calling-for-justice","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/748667\/","title":{"rendered":"NYC girl brutally stomped by teen boy after refusing his advances was lucky to survive, distraught mom says \u2014 while calling for justice"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A 15-year-old girl <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2026\/04\/23\/us-news\/sickening-video-shows-nyc-teen-stomp-on-girls-head-after-she-refused-to-give-him-her-number\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">viciously slammed to the ground and stomped on<\/a> by a teenage boy faced weeks of harassment before the disturbing, caught-on-video attack \u2014 which could have killed her, according to her horrified mother.<\/p>\n<p>Mom Lucinda Arroyo told The Post that the 14-year-old bully \u2013 who has since been jailed on assault charges \u2013 goes to school with her daughter and had long been bugging her for attention, leaving the girl stunned when the harassment turned violent Monday.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cShe\u2019s very upset that her whole life has been completely flipped upside down right now,\u201d the devastated mom said in an interview from her East Harlem home on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>The girl\u2019s head was stomped on after she refused to give the teen boy her number. Instagram \/ @coronavirusny<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is not even bullying, this is outright assault \u2014 and he could have killed her,\u201d she raged.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The street beatdown in the Upper Manhattan neighborhood left the girl with a concussion, bleeding, a potential brain injury, crushing headaches and a twisted neck \u2013 injuries that will require ongoing physical therapy, Arroyo said.<\/p>\n<p>Her daughter has repeatedly been sent the sickening footage of her attack since, and feels \u201cvery exposed right now,\u201d her mom said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cShe was very angry at why he escalated so quickly from one thing to another. And you can tell [in the video] she just wanted to walk away from him because he\u2019s bad news. She\u2019s known him as someone who\u2019s bad news for a while.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The ninth-grade student-athlete at East Harlem Scholars Academy Charter School\u00a0was heading to squash practice when the shocking incident occurred, her mom said.<\/p>\n<p>Disturbing video spreading on social media showed the masked brute confronting the girl at East 107th Street and Third Avenue around 3:30 p.m., just after school let out.<\/p>\n<p>The bully was arrested and charged with assault. Obtained by NY Post<\/p>\n<p>The boy is seen repeatedly blocking her in the crosswalk and threatening to \u201cknock the s\u2013t out of\u201d her as a friend appears to egg him on from behind the camera.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>As she turned to walk away, she called him a \u201cp\u2014y\u201d and told him to \u201cget the f\u2013k\u201d away from her, before he grabbed her from behind, lifted her up and slammed her to the pavement.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The tense clips showed the girl lying helpless on the ground as the boy stomped on her head before walking off.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe just ran off and everybody\u2019s just recording, and everybody\u2019s just looking while this was happening to her,\u201d Arroyo said of the video.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe video was passed around like entertainment, and that pissed me off the most. She\u2019s ignoring him, so he basically forced her to pay attention to him. And his friends are laughing after that. It\u2019s not just one bully, but community bullying.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>While a motive remains unclear, sources said the girl was attacked after she refused to give the suspected goon \u2013 \u201ca known troublemaker\u201d at school \u2013 her phone number.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cShe\u2019s not going back to that school\u2026 that school can\u2019t keep her safe,\u201d the distraught mom said.<\/p>\n<p>Arroyo said her daughter woke up in the ambulance after the violent assault and couldn\u2019t believe what had just unfolded \u2013 even after watching footage of the nightmarish incident.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Sealema Allen, mother of the boy who stomped on the teen girl\u2019s head, speaks to reporters. Steven Hirsch for NY Post<\/p>\n<p>The girl was hospitalized for two days and is only now able to walk and eat again.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI look at her and it\u2019s a miracle that she\u2019s home. I\u2019m always watching her now, I have to watch her.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Arroyo claimed school officials were aware that the hooligan \u201chas been a problem.\u201d But she said the boy\u2019s alleged harassment of her daughter, which left the girl stressed and anxious, was never reported to the school because they didn\u2019t think it would ever turn violent.\u201cYou don\u2019t think that something like this would happen,\u201d Arroyo said, noting that the alleged assailant behind bars has helped both her and her daughter relax.<\/p>\n<p>The twisted teen was charged with assault and appeared in the Youth Part of Manhattan court Thursday afternoon \u2014 but the judge barred The Post and other press from the courtroom.<\/p>\n<p>Lucinda Arroyo, the mother of the girl assaulted by the bully, was furious and claimed the incident was \u201coutright assault.\u201d Instagram \/ @coronavirusny<\/p>\n<p>The suspect was remanded into custody after the hearing. His mom, Selma Allen, claimed it was actually the victim had bullied her son at school and described him as a \u201chumble\u201d Christian.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cShe was being a bully to him, that\u2019s it,\u201d Allen told The Post after her son\u2019s court appearance.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe\u2019s been complaining about her. I bring it to the principal\u2019s attention but he don\u2019t address it. The way my son is being bullied, he doesn\u2019t want to go to school.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Allen also denied her son was trying to score the girl\u2019s number. She said they are friends who regularly swap messages on Instagram and WhatsApp.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The suspect is still in custody.
