Helena Bonham Carter has checked out of\u00a0\u201cThe White Lotus.\u201d<\/p>\n
Nine days after production kicked off in France for Season 4 of the HBO hit, the \u201cCorpse Bride\u201d actress exited the cast.<\/p>\n
\u201cWith filming just underway on season four of\u00a0\u2018The White Lotus,\u2019 it had become apparent that the character which Mike White created for Helena Bonham Carter did not align once on set,\u201d an HBO spokesperson said in a statement to Page Six Saturday. \u201cThe role has subsequently been rethought, is being rewritten and will be recast in the coming weeks.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cHBO, the producers and Mike White are saddened that they won\u2019t get to work with her, but remain ardent fans and very much hope to work with the legendary actress on another project soon,\u201d the rep added.<\/p>\n

The \u201cHarry Potter\u201d star (pictured here in January) got to set and it became \u201capparent that the character which Mike White created\u201d for her \u201cdid not align.\u201d WireImage<\/p>\n
Carter, 59, who is best known for her roles in \u201cFight Club\u201d (1999), \u201cCorpse Bride\u201d (2005), \u201cSweeney Todd\u201d (2007) and the \u201cHarry Potter\u201d films, has yet to address her exit.<\/p>\n
