A Dallas man has been sentenced to 30 years in federal prison for assaulting a federal officer with a deadly weapon and trafficking methamphetamine and heroin, federal prosecutors said.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
Angel Flores, 36, was sentenced April 22 by U.S. District Judge Ed Kinkeade, according to the U.S. Attorney\u2019s Office for the Northern District of Texas.<\/p>\n
Prosecutors said Flores and co-conspirator Andres Saucedo Jr., 42, were involved in importing and distributing large quantities of drugs tied to a Mexico-based trafficking organization. Court records show Flores sold an undercover agent a kilogram of heroin for $7,200 in late 2024 and continued trafficking kilogram amounts of methamphetamine until his arrest in May 2025.<\/p>\n
Authorities said the pair also plotted to rob another trafficker of up to 40 kilograms of methamphetamine. During surveillance, Saucedo fired a gun at a federal officer after the suspects realized they were being followed.<\/p>\n
Flores was arrested May 21, 2025, following the investigation.<\/p>\n
