{"id":753491,"date":"2026-04-26T02:47:22","date_gmt":"2026-04-26T02:47:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/753491\/"},"modified":"2026-04-26T02:47:22","modified_gmt":"2026-04-26T02:47:22","slug":"florida-home-depot-manager-arrested-for-allegedly-dishing-out-4m-in-unauthorized-discounts","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/753491\/","title":{"rendered":"Florida Home Depot manager arrested for allegedly dishing out $4M in &#8216;unauthorized&#8217; discounts"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A Florida Home Depot manager was arrested on felony charges after allegedly dishing out $4.3 million in \u201cunauthorized\u201d discounts to repeat clients to boost his sales and get higher bonuses, according to an affidavit. <\/p>\n<p>Mauricio Jimenez, 48, was arrested on April 21 and charged with organized fraud and first-degree grand theft for allegedly slashing the price of at least 4,500 transactions \u2014 totaling to $55 million \u2014 across various stores from Dec. 2023 to April 2026. <\/p>\n<p>The Hialeah man\u2019s \u201cdeliberate\u201d and \u201csystemic\u201d tactics meant his sales were through the roof \u2014 and so were his bonuses, according to the affidavit, which did not provide a number. <\/p>\n<p><img style=\"aspect-ratio:1.5;display:block\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" data-modal-image=\"39197952\" width=\"750\" height=\"500\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/people-com-home-depot-store-126384638.jpg\" alt=\"His mugshot.\" class=\"wp-image-39197952\"  \/>Mauricio Jimenez, 48, is facing felony charges stemming from the alleged years-long scheme.  MDPD<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThose discounts cost the company over $4 million, and by increasing his sales using those discounts, he was compensated with larger bonuses,\u201d Miami-Dade Judge Mindy Glazer said at this April 22 court hearing, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcmiami.com\/news\/local\/miami-dade-home-depot-manager-arrested-in-multi-million-markdown-fraud-deputies-say\/3799367\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">NBC Miami reported<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>Home Depot launched a probe into Jimenez after its Assurance &amp; Advisory Management Program noticed  \u00a0a \u201chigh quality, high value, high markdown order\u201d during a visit to a store in Hialeah Gardens, where he worked at the time, according to the arrest document. <\/p>\n<p><img style=\"aspect-ratio:1.49926794;display:block\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" data-modal-image=\"39197953\" width=\"885\" height=\"590\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/people-shopping-home-depot-south-126384724.jpg\" alt=\"A Home Depot. \" class=\"wp-image-39197953\"  \/>He allegedly dished out the discounts across various stores.
