A forthcoming H-E-B supermarket in west Fort Worth will have some new area customers for its famous tortillas.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Walsh<\/a>, the west Fort Worth development partnership between the Walsh Companies and Republic Property Group, is expanding again. The development is adding approximately 959 new lots, extending the Lake Park neighborhood south and east toward Cline Park.\u00a0<\/p>\n The new homes will include garden homes, townhomes and single-family homes from Britton Homes, Perry Homes, Drees Homes, David Weekley Homes, Highland Homes and a new addition to the Walsh builder lineup, Hark Homes.\u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s been incredible to see this community grow, and this expansion reflects the long-term vision for Walsh as a connected, livable community designed to meet the needs of current and future residents,\u201d said Seth Carpenter, senior vice president at Republic Property Group, in a statement.\u00a0<\/p>\n Construction is already well underway, with initial lot deliveries completed and additional deliveries scheduled throughout 2026 and into 2027.\u00a0<\/p>\n The new phases will also bring transportation and infrastructure improvements, including adding an alternate entrance and exit to the Interstate 20 frontage road and an additional east-west connection, according to Republic.\u00a0<\/p>\n Last year, the Fort Worth City Council approved a special tax district <\/a>for the 7,200-acre Walsh development. Funds from the special tax district could help pay for large projects such as new roads or utility lines in the fast-growing area, city leaders said.\u00a0<\/p>\n Walsh is a master-planned development in west Fort Worth built on former ranchland owned by the Walsh family. The area is now home to major housing developments with about 2,500 residents.\u00a0<\/p>\n The community is also home to the University of Texas at Arlington\u2019s new campus, UTA West <\/a>(scheduled to open fall 2028). Construction on a new H-E-B store <\/a>in the area is scheduled to be complete by December 2026, according to a state filing.<\/p>\n Pilates franchise stretching out<\/p>\n BODYBAR Pilates, a Fort Worth-based fitness franchise based, has launched its first-ever national advertising campaign. Cooked, fermented, distilled and aged entirely in Fort Worth, Prairie Ember is crafted from a 100% triticale mash bill and has matured for four years in the Texas heat.<\/p>\n Triticale is a hybrid grain born from the cross of rye and wheat. Prairie Ember is exclusively available in the Blackland Distillery tasting room in Fort Worth. Later this spring, Prairie Ember can be purchased through select retail partners across Texas or online in 42 states.\u00a0<\/p>\n The wide-open award-winning spaces\u00a0<\/p>\n Texas and North Dakota have won the 2025 Site Selection Governor\u2019s Cups. This is the 12th year Site Selection <\/a>recognizes the state with the most qualifying new and expanded facilities per capita, which North Dakota claims for the first time in history for its corporate end-user project activity in 2025.
