Stagecoach is known for strange bedfellows (see: Emo Nite with Ashlee Simpson yesterday<\/a>) but Guy Fieri with Wynonna Judd, Billy Bob Thornton, Gavin Rossdale and Gavin Adcock is so odd it seems like an AI hallucination. I promise you it happened Saturday afternoon.<\/p>\n

\u201cEverybody loves food. That\u2019s the common denominator,\u201d Fieri told the crowd, which included a woman who impressively dressed up as Fieri, fake mustache\/goatee and a flame-covered bowling shirt.<\/p>\n

\u201cFlavortownnnnn!\u201d Judd said as she walked onto the demonstration stage at Guy\u2019s Stagecoach Smokehouse.<\/p>\n

\u201cJust so you know, we could do our own cooking show,\u201d Fieri said as he introduced her.<\/p>\n

Each of the stars was paired with a chef, which included Eric Greenspan, Mark Murphy, Aaron May and Hunter Fieri. <\/p>\n

Thornton made salmon and fried okra with spicy hummus with Hunter Fieri. The \u201cLandman\u201d star<\/a> said the key for good fried okra is to use cornmeal. He also shared his favorite chili, which isn\u2019t hot for the sake of being hot.<\/p>\n

\u201cCalabrian chili has a flavor,\u201d Thornton said.<\/p>\n

He also told the crowd of a new delicacy he discovered: white grapes and dipped it in spicy Dijon mustard.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt blew my mind,\u201d Thornton said.<\/p>\n

Adcock, meanwhile made a giant prime rib sandwich and beer battered onion rings.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m a big beef guy,\u201d Adcock said.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Bush frontman Rossdale was doing what Fieri said was a first for Stagecoach \u2014 he made an Asian dish of smoked chicken dredged and flash-fried and shared with two sauces: one a Japanese rice wine and the other a sweet sauce. <\/p>\n

\u201cThis guy is a real foodie,\u201d Fieri said about Rossdale, who has his own cooking show<\/a>. \u201cI\u2019m gonna put a chef with him but he doesn\u2019t need it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Speaking of strange things, here\u2019s my pitch for an \u201cOdd Couple\u201d reboot: Rossdale and Adcock with Fieri as the wacky neighbor.
