Lucas Giolito<\/strong> had a busy first full day in the Padres organization.<\/p>\n

The 31-year-old right-hander began his ramp-up at low Single-A Lake Elsinore and pitched into the third inning until exiting after a comebacker in a 6-5 win on Saturday over visiting Visalia.<\/p>\n

Giolito struck out four and allowed two runs on two hits and three walks in 2\u2154 innings. He threw 40 of his 63 pitches for strikes.<\/p>\n

Giolito allowed a run in the first inning, struck out three after a leadoff walk in the second inning and allowed a run in the third before exiting after the comebacker.<\/p>\n

Right fielder George Bilecki<\/strong> (.645 OPS) went 1-for-2 with a double, three RBIs and a walk.<\/p>\n

Third baseman Justin DeCriscio<\/strong> (.958 OPS) went 1-for-4 with two RBIs.<\/p>\n

Center fielder Ryan Wideman<\/strong> (.991 OPS) went 0-for-2 with two walks and his system-best 14th steal.<\/p>\n

Lake Elsinore is 11-9.<\/p>\n

San Antonio placed RHPs Miguel Mendez<\/strong> (neck) and Manuel Castro<\/strong> (tired arm) on the seven-day list. Both stays could be minimal. Mendez (1-0, 3.68 ERA) is ranked No. 3 in the system by MLB.com.<\/p>\n
