<\/li>\n- No One Magazine, an Amsterdam-based print publication focused on LGBTQIA+ nightlife, highlights Philadelphia in its latest issue.\n
The outlet’s third edition covers the local ballroom scene, the influence of Philadelphia soul on house music, underground perreo parties and mutual-aid rave networks, among other topics. A profile of drag performer Icon Ebony-Fierce, a playlist of queer Philly music by DJ Delish<\/a> and comics are also featured.<\/p>\n
On its website<\/a>, No One described how Philadelphia is often overlooked in wider conversations about dance music history. “To know Philadelphia is to first reconcile its impact with its lack of recognition: the foundations too often forgotten, the unsung legends endlessly sampled, the grassroots that upend, and the undeniable influence of the underfunded and underrepresented.” <\/p>\n
The 128-page publication costs \u20ac18 and releases on Saturday, June 6th during Pride Month. Launch events will be held in Philadelphia and Amsterdam in June. Details on that will be announced soon.<\/p>\n
